Title track from my EP, Maddie Rose, written for my beautiful baby daughter.

Lord knows I've had my share of disagreements with my family, but I wouldn't trade em for the world.

A few disclaimers with this one:

1) Yes, I do say "take 7" at the beginning. While I don't do a lot of editing and polishing, I'm not a one-take wonder believe it or not.

2) I am so sorry for that face I'm making when I whistle. What is one's face supposed to do while one whistles??

I wrote this song for my daughter, Maddie, before she was born to try and describe this life and world to her.

In this edition of my Stone Wall Sessions, I bring to you a song very dear to me that I wrote when my grandpa passed. And yes, that is indeed ‘grandpa’s guitar’ that I’m playing in the video — a 1979 Martin HD-28.
